- Go to https://portal.azure.com
- Enter your email address at checkcity.com and click “Next”
- Enter your password for that account and click “Sign in”
- Click the profile icon in the upper right corner, then click “View Account”
- Click the “UPDATE INFO” link
- Click the “Add sign-in method” link
- Click the "Authenticator app" link
- Click the "Add" button
- Download the "Microsoft Authenticator" app (you can use any authenticator app like "Google Authenticator" if you already use it, but IT will only support the Microsoft Authenticator app)
- After you have installed the authenticator app on your phone click "Next"
- On your phone, open the authenticator app and click the plus sign in the upper right corner
- Click the "Work or school account" link
- Click the "Scan QR code" link
- You may (or may not) need to allow the authenticator app to have access to your camera. If you are prompted for it then allow access.
- Hold your phone up to your computer screen to scan the QR code with your camera
- On your computer, click the next button
- After you clicked "Next" in the previous step, you should get a pop-up on your phone to approve a sign-in for your account. Click "Approve" on your phone
- On your computer you should now see that your sign-in request was approved. Click the "Next" button
- You can now use the authenticator app to approve sign-ins with 2 Factor Authentication on your phone!
